This cheerful craft is perfect for the youngest children who are learning to colour, glue, and create with their own hands. What You'll Need
- Printed template (below) on slightly thicker paper than standard A4
- Card in lots of colours and scissors (if you don't choose the pumpkin seeds)
- Pumpkin seeds
- Glue
- Markers or tempera paints
- Optional: glitter, star stickers, or small round paper circles for fruit
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1 — Print the Template Download and print the free template. For a more durable result, print onto card or glue the paper onto card before you start.
Step 2 — Make the Leaves or Fruit Cut small round or oval pieces from the coloured card — these will become the leaves or fruit on the tree! Each child chooses their own colours. Alternatively, paint the pumpkin seeds in whatever colour you like.
Step 3 — Assemble the Tree Glue the coloured pieces onto the branches. Let the child place them however they like — there's no wrong way!
Step 4 — Decorate! Add glitter, stickers, or draw details with markers. Every tree is unique, just like the child who made it!
Variations & Ideas You can adapt the tree to suit any season: green for spring, orange and red for autumn, white with cotton wool for winter, or pink and blossoming for summer!
