Paper Plate Christmas Tree

Once upon a time, there was a white paper plate waiting on the table. It wished it could become something magical.
A little child picked it up and said, “I’m going to make a Christmas tree!”

With small scissors, glue, and colorful pieces of paper, the child shaped it carefully. They added a bit of glitter that sparkled like a star.
When it was finished, the tree felt so happy!
It was a small paper tree — but full of love and Christmas magic.

Materials

• White paper plate
• Scissors
• Glue
• A craft stick for the tree trunk
• Paintbrush or sponge
• Green tempera paint (or whatever color the child wishes!) and brown paint for the craft stick (tree trunk)
• Pom poms or any decorations your little one wants to use for the tree!

Instructions

Show your little one how to paint the white plate green and the craft stick brown, or in any colors they choose, and let them dry.
Then cut the plate into three pieces to create 3 triangles of different widths (one narrow, one wider, and one even wider). Help your child glue the three pieces on top of each other to form the tree, and attach the craft stick at the bottom as the trunk.
Now all that’s left is for your child to decorate the tree using their imagination and the materials they like! If you need a nice little star for the top, you can find one in other crafts on our site to print!

Happy Holidays! 🎄
