Materials

• Printed template on thicker paper or alternatively
• White or cream thick A4 paper
• Tempera paint in different shades of green and any colors the child wants for the Christmas tree decorations
• Tempera paint in any colors the child chooses for the Christmas bauble
• Cotton swabs

• Brown marker or colored pencil for the trunk and yellow for the star

Instructions

Print the template and prepare the paints and cotton swabs. Fold the A4 paper in half to create a card. Encourage your little one to dip the cotton swab into the paint and make small dots, staying within the outline of the Christmas tree or bauble you have pre-drawn. Then, they can color the star and the trunk or the bauble’s little hanger.

If they want and are able, let them write “MERRY CHRISTMAS!” in their own handwriting and create cards for the whole family!

The result will delight both children and parents!
